1,000 visitors expected to take stock at railway show
Almost 1,000 visitors from all over the country are expected to call in at Caistor Town Hall this weekend.
But the event they're all attending has little to do with the arts, entertainment or celebrity.
Yet it is the celebration of a very traditional hobby which has increasing popularity across the county.
Hard on the heels of the annual Gainsborough Model Railway Society's annual three-day opening, the Caistor equivalent is very different indeed.

Compared to the fixed model layout down the A631 which runs full timetables operated by volunteers on only a dozen days a year, Caistor Model Railway Show invites enthusiasts to bring their own track and rolling stock.
"The model railway club meets in the Old Sweet Factory on Brigg Road in the town on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 8pm until 10.30pm," said stalwart Pete Fowler.
"It's been going since 1994 and nine years ago we decided to run an annual show.
"We were really surprised by the response because we got enthusiasts from all over the place.
"Now we'd expect upwards of between 800 and 900 visitors over the weekend.
"Last year they came from as far afield as Manchester, Scarborough and Hull.
"And for 2012 we have nine different layouts covering all the different track gauges, plus demonstrations.
"Those taking part are also coming in from near and far – Barton-upon-Humber, Sutton- in-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire, Hull, Grimsby and Lincoln.
"It's a good day out for the family because we've got plenty of free car parking in the town centre.
"There's also disabled access and refreshments being served all day."
The Caistor Model Railway Show is running from 10am until 5.30pm this Saturday, October 13, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Admission is £2.50 to adults, £1.50 children and concessions – or £7 for a family of four.
