MORE than 1,500 county people have visited a website to check their drinking levels.

The site www.lincs2alcohol.co.uk was launched in August by the Lincolnshire Drug and Alcohol Services team following a £1.5m NHS Lincolnshire investment in 2008/09 aimed at tackling the growing problem.

Police and NHS figures reveal Lincoln has some of the highest rates of binge drinking and associated problems in the county. The Lincs2Alcohol website invites users to take an Audit – Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test.

This involves 10 multiple choice questions.

As well as advice on cutting down, it highlights the option of attending open access sessions held three times a week at Lincoln's Addaction office.
