1,800 more deaths at Lincolnshire hospitals than expected in ten years
There have been more than 1,800 deaths at United Lincolnshire Hospitals than expected over the past decade according to government adviser Sir Brian Jarman.
He said that managers need to take action to address the higher than expected mortality rates at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust's sites.

Government adviser Sir Brian Jarman says action must be taken over higher than expected mortality rates at Lincolnshire hospitals.
Professor Jarman said: "We can't say if the deaths were avoidable, what we can say is the deaths in United Lincolnshire exceeds the number that you would have had had the national death rates applied.
"It could be a variety of things, you can't go down to individual patients, it is a statistical measure and hasn't changed all that much.
