12 months of roadworks for Lincoln Whisby Road improvements
A £3.2m project will start on Whisby Road in North Hykeham on Monday 7 October, lasting approximately 12 months.
The changes will be made to improve access to the A46, the Energy from Waste site, Teal Park and Kingsley Road Business Park.
The work will take place from Doddington Road up to the roundabout with Teal Park.
Lincolnshire County Council has said the new road will benefit from a wider road surface and a combined footpath and cyclepath on either side of the road.

A new traffic light system at the Whisby Road junction with Doddington Road will, acording to the council, reduce motorists waiting times by up to 20 per cent.
Councillor Richard Davies, Executive Member for Highways and Transportation, said: "The improvements will bring considerable benefits to people who live in and commute to the LN6 area.
"Traffic flow will be noticeably better and it is important there is good access to local businesses here, as they are a huge asset to our local economy.
"I am also delighted the project includes footpaths and cyclepaths which will mean people will be more confident to use sustainable transport methods here."
For the duration of the works, an eastbound road closure along Whisby Road will be in place from the new Teal Park roundabout to the junction with Station Road.
A local diversion route will be signed and temporary traffic lights will be in place at times between Station Road and Doddington Road.
Les Davies, Senior Project Leader, said: "The work will be carried out in two stages. Firstly, our contractor will be working with the utility companies to move cables and pipes which could take up to five months. Once this is completed, you will see our improvements taking place."
The work is being supported by the Department for Transport funded Access LN6 programme.
