12-week project to build new bike track and footpath in Stamford revealed
Work is beginning on a new cycle track and footpath in Stamford.
Improvements to Ryhall Road will start on Monday, January 12 and are expected to take 12 weeks to complete.
Les Outram, senior project leader, said: "To improve access into Stamford for pedestrians and cyclists, we are making the footpath on Ryhall Road wider to form a combined footpath and cyclepath.
"The new cyclepath on Ryhall Road will run from the Friary Gateway out as far as Rutland Road, and will give the residents of Ryhall the opportunity to leave their cars at home. We hope to have this open for cyclists to use early in March."
