Coca-Cola, which is one of the presenting partners, is bringing English rapper and grime artist Loick Essien to Lincoln for a spectacular live performance, and spectators will be able to have their picture taken with the Olympic Torch with presenting partners Lloyds TSB and Samsung.
Towards the end of the two-hour show, the last torchbearer of the day in Lincoln will light a celebration cauldron on stage, so the Olympic Flame can be seen by the entire audience.
The original tickets went quickly after they were launched with a One World flashmob event in Lincoln's High Street, which gave shoppers, workers and visitors a taste of some of the entertainment to come.
Events officer Holly Parker said: "We’ve already made sure the people on the waiting list have tickets, so the full 600 are available. We’re extremely pleased that the people of Lincoln have really got behind the celebration of the Olympic Games, and we’re really gearing up for some fantastic events in the city.
“For anyone who doesn’t get tickets, or who would prefer to line the route, there is plenty going on that day. The torch relay will start at South Park Avenue at around 5.30pm, so we hope people will line the streets from 4.30pm to enjoy the spectacle of the Olympic Torch as it passes.
"There will also be the Festival of Light around the Brayford Pool, with live entertainment and a fireworks finale.”
Anyone who would like to apply for the free tickets can contact the Drill Hall on 01522 873894 or call in to the venue in Free School Lane.
