Over 900 applications for 10 Lincolnshire whole-time firefighter roles
Some 650 places in the application process to become a full-time firefighter in Lincolnshire have been filled in just 12 minutes.
Up to 10 full-time roles are to be recruited across the county at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, who are offering whole-time roles for the first time in five years.

The limit off 500 applications and 150 reserve applications was reached at 7:12am on February 25, after lines opened at 7:00am.
By the time lines closed on the same day, the service had received well over 900 applications for the 10 positions.

The successful applications now face a sifting process before candidates will undergo written and physical tests, interviews, medical test and a CRB check.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: "We would like to thank everyone who applied for our whole-time Firefighter positions, we are delighted with the response.
"For those who were not successful, you may wish to consider service as an On-Call Firefighter.
"We are currently looking for On-Call Firefighters at a number of community fire stations across the county.
"If you are 18 and over live or work within a 5 minute travelling time of one of these community fire stations and have ever considered becoming a firefighter take a look at our On-Call Firefighter recruitment guide."
