A52 in Lincolnshire to close during road works

Part of the A52 in Lincolnshire will close during road works.

Resurfacing will take place between Station Road and Boston Road, south of Boston, from March 18 and April 5.

Two-way traffic lights will be in place and motorists will be shown safe access through the works - taking place between 7am and 8pm - by a convoy vehicle.

The road will then be closed between between Kirton Holme Road and Fenhouse Drove, from Tuesday, April 2 and Friday, April 5, to resurface it.

The area affected is a small stretch between the juctions with the A17 and A1121.

Arthur Pearson, principal engineer for the project, said:"We may need to keep the traffic lights in place overnight on some nights to keep motorists and our workforce safe.

"This traffic management will be removed for the weekends and the bank holiday."

Motorists travelling east towards Boston will be diverted from A52/17 Bicker Bar roundabout, along the A17 to the A17/A16 Algrakirk roundabout, then on the A16 into town.

Motorists travelling west from Boston will be diverted from Sleaford Road roundabout, along the A1121 Boardsides to the A17, then south to A52/A17 Bickerbar roundabout.
