Actor Jim Broadbent to present Lincoln film students with awards
Acclaimed Hollywood actor Jim Broadbent, known for his roles in films like Harry Potter and Bridget Jones's Diary among others, will visit Lincoln's Engine Shed.
He will be presenting trophies to students from across the county, during the aptly named 'LAFTA' awards.
The ceremony will celebrate the work of local pupils who have made films in school.
Mr Broadbent said he is already impressed with this year’s offering.

“I have always been impressed with the standard of films and this year is no exception.
“They are really brilliant, showing great skill and imagination.
“The films show lots of different and exciting ways to tell a huge variety of stories.”
As a patron of the awards, the actor has carried out the same role in Lincoln in previous years.
Patricia Bradwell, executive councillor for children’s services, added: “I am delighted that year on year we are able to recognise and celebrate the achievements of so many of our talented young film makers here in Lincolnshire.”
The ceremony will take place on Monday October 14, at 5.30pm.
