Age is not a problem for the county's plucky OAPs
Pensioners living in Lincolnshire are proving that you are never too old to feel young.
The county has a vast elderly demographic who account for a higher proportion of the population than in most other counties.

From horse-riding to belly dancing, old folk in Lincolnshire are keeping young and beautiful against the odds.
But while the image of the elderly can be one of wheelchairs, walking sticks and bemoaning change, there is a breed out there who will not let their age bring them down.
From horse-riding to belly dancing, old folk in Lincolnshire are keeping young and beautiful against the odds.
And a regular sight to behold in the Rookery Lane area of Lincoln, Samuel Butler is one of those people.
Despite his advanced years, 82-year-old Samuel Butler rides his 17-hands horse Tommy, every day.
"I was horse-riding before I could walk," said Mr Butler, of Rookery Lane.
"I just about ride every day and it keeps me fit.
"More older people could do it but they don't bother. They should really.
"A lot of them are in wheelchairs and things, they shouldn't be really."
There are dozens of activities for older people in Lincoln and Age Concern are specialists in all things healthy.

“When I was 30 something I decided to have riding lessons, it really scared me witless getting on a huge horse, let alone 17 hands. What a hero, rather him than me!”

“My mother-in-law is 79 and still goes to the gym twice a week. She is active and spritely and I can guarantee you wouldn't get stuck behind her refusing to do more than 35mph!!!!!! I hope I am half as fit and active when I get to that age :-)”

“Good to see some of the elderly residents getting out and about. To be honest, when I think of the elderly in Lincolnshire, I can only summon up images of constantly being stuck behind OAPs refusing to do more than 35mph on one of the county's main roads...”
