Alchemy Project activities to raise understanding between diverse cultures in Boston
A PACKED programme of activities aimed at raising understanding between Boston's culturally-diverse communities is planned for the next two months.
The Alchemy Project is organising exhibitions, writing workshops, a film screening, children's theatre, a choral performance and more of its popular photography walks around the town to help bring people together to learn more about each other's lives.

Representative of Lincoln-based cultural solutions UK David Lambert said: "It's a packed programme but we're hoping that people who have lived in Boston all their lives and those who may have only just arrived here will use the events to learn more about the people they live alongside."
The programme starts with the first in a new series of five free photography walks tomorrow.

Social artist Katie Smith will be joined by keen amateur photographer Julie Green for a walk along the banks of the Haven which will explore maritime history. The walk sets off from Buoy Yard car park at 2.30pm and will last about 90 minutes.
Pictures already taken by walkers documenting the town and its communities will form one of two exhibitions The Alchemy Project is staging in the Atrium area at Boston Borough Council's offices in West Street from Friday, November 2, until Friday, January 4.
The second exhibition is called I Am Me and features photographs which were taken at Boston Showcase 2012.
More than 60 portraits of Boston people were taken on the day and subjects were asked to write something about their life.
The result is a fascinating insight into the thoughts, fears, hopes and issues facing the residents of the town.
Both exhibitions are open during normal office hours and are free.
