Application for 8,100-cow facility
PLANS to build Britain's largest dairy farm between Nocton and Dunston first emerged in November.
A planning application to create the 8,100-cow dairy was submitted to North Kesteven District Council in January.
Despite the plans being welcomed by local business leaders, there were concerns for animal welfare.
In March, bosses at Nocton Dairies Ltd pledged to address residents' concerns at a meeting in the village but, at the last minute, stated "national interest" in the meeting meant it was no longer the best place for locals to ask questions.
In April, plans for the super-dairy were withdrawn.
Yesterday, Nocton Dairies Ltd told the Echo it would re-submit the application to North Kesteven District Council by the end of the month.
