Avoid Lincoln A&E after influx of people attend with minor injuries
Lincoln County Hospital are urging those with minor injuries to visit their GP or go to a walk-in centre rather than going to A&E.
The A&E department has seen more than 50 people walk through the doors this afternoon - which is unusually high for this time of year.
The Echo is told that the influx is not due to extreme weather or serious accidents.
Many of those are facing a wait of more than two hours for minor injuries.

The priority still remains to treat those with major illnesses and injuries first to reduce their waiting time.
The recent influx of new students to the city may be a factor in the uncharacteristic rise of A&E visitors.
