BNP will contest all seven seats in county
BNP candidates will contest all seven Lincolnshire parliamentary seats at the General Election, it has been announced.
Speculation was last night mounting that Prime Minster Gordon Brown would formally call the election today, with voting to take place alongside local elections on May 6.

British National Party leader Nick Griffin.
And the British National Party (BNP) has revealed fundraising events held across the county has secured the cash it needs to put forward two more candidates in Gainsborough and South Holland and The Deepings.
BNP member Malcolm Porter will join Liberal Democrat Pat O'Connor, Labour's Jamie McMahon and UKIP nominee Steve Pearson in a bid to unseat long-term Conservative MP Edward Leigh in Gainsborough.
Roy Harban will contest South Holland and The Deepings on behalf of the BNP, where Tory John Hayes has held the seat since 1997. Mr Hayes won the 2005 election with a majority of 15,780 votes.
As reported in the Echo, BNP priest Reverend Robert West will stand for the Lincoln seat while Mike Clayton is the Sleaford and North Hykeham nominee.
Mr Clayton said: "Three meetings held within a week in Louth, Spalding and Lincoln raised the additional funds needed to contest all seven Lincolnshire parliamentary seats."
Labour prospective parliamentary candidate for Gainsborough Jamie McMahon said: "My personal opinion is racist politics have no place in British politics. I am confident the British public can see through their message."

“"I have coloured friends and colleagues..."
Oh and THAT? That lady is the last bastion of defence for a racist. So by voting BNP you are perfectly ok with Nick Griffin re-patriating your 'coloured' friends are you? Because Nick Griffin doesn't believe in 'coloured' British people. Just so you know.
Urgh. Vile.”

“"Believe it or not, I really am one of the nicest people you could ever meet, but you have judged me on my political beliefs and I think that is well out of order."
You've only given me your political beliefs to judge you on.
By voting BNP you justify what Nick Griffin has said in the past (although late-2009 quotes are hardly someone's distant regrettable and possibly forgivable past now are they?)
Its only logical. You vote for racists. You vote for homophobes. You vote for nasty violent white supremacists then yes, guess what? I'll presume that you agree with what they say and do. Just as I would presume that someone voting Labour supports all that Gordon Brown says.
Also, I doubt very much that Cameron and Clegg and Brown have ever been arrested for inciting racial hatred? Or have ever said the vile and hateful things that Griffin has said. Or have led the National Front (a white thug-driven violent party) like Andrew Brons MEP has.
Everyone has a past. Its just unfortunate that you think its ok to justify a past as racist and disgusting as Nick Griffin's. (And I will reiterate that the things Griffin is on record as saying are most definately not his past by any stretch).”

If you must have the last word thats fine, but I'm afraid you really are quite wrong.
I am offended you accuse me of being racist, homophobic etc. I am none of these. I have coloured friends and colleagues, it seems you are happy to believe what you are told rather than find out for yourself! Believe it or not, I really am one of the nicest people you could ever meet, but you have judged me on my political beliefs and I think that is well out of order.
Nick's past is his past, I don't think I need to point out Cameron's past is less than immaculate, and if the truth be known Brown and Cleggs too?
I neither wish to argue or be forced to have to support my case, you may not have better things to do but I certainly have.
I shall not visit this site anymore and will not continue back and forth this ridiculous war of words!”

“Oh and also, instead of whinging that the poor old BNP is misrepresented and is never given a fair chance you might want to ask yourself why your Lincoln BNP candidate failed to turn up to an event inviting ALL seven candidates to debate and answer questions?
Is the answer that he couldn't be bothered? Or that he lives in Holbeach which is 50 miles from Lincoln? Or was it that he was helping promote your great leader Nicky G down South? Couldn't care less about the people that he actually needs to vote for him.
Aren't you proud of your BNP candidate eh?”

“Of course the media spotlight on the main parties is fair. They are the MAIN parties. I wouldn't expect to see a one hour Jeremy Paxman interview with Ieuan Wyn Jones or Lord Pearson or Caroline Lucas or any of the other numerous fringe political party leaders. If I am interested in the views of minor parties I will research them myself. I do not need it force-fed to me via the media.
"I think if you cared to listen to what Nick has to say you would see he is not only a very intelligent and knowledgeable man, but also he answers questions put to him directly!"
Oh yes, he does, doesn't he.
"A favourite childhood game. . . was counting black people on the streets from the car window when my parents drove through London.'" (Griffin, N.)
"'TV footage of dozens of gay demonstrators flaunting their perversions in front of the world's journalists showed just why so many ordinary people find these creatures so repulsive.'" (Griffin, N.)
"Asked what he would do with people living in Britain who couldn't be 'sent home' because their nationalities were not clear, he said: 'Drop them out of a plane somewhere over Africa. I don't really care.'" (Griffin, N.)
I particularly like the straight-talking he does in Europe. All that intelligence and knowledge and not one right-wing party wants to be his friend? Sad that.
Its also heart-warming to hear him deny the Holocaust and advocate the drowning of sub-saharan Africans. I also like his tales of the time he spoke at a Ku Klux Klan rally (the non-racist, non-violent Klan that he spoke of on QT of course).
You can vote BNP, it has no bearing on my life. But I will think of you as a supporter of a racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and intolerant political party. Ergo I assume you to be racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and intolerant because with your vote you are justifying Griffin's ideology.”

Please don't talk to me like I'm a child, I am old enough and wise enough to have a little more respect than that!
I do not possess a rose tinted pair of glasses in fact I see things very clearly in politics, I don't need glasses at all!
Of course I know the Conservatives are not running the country at the moment, but they have done in the past, and I was not totally impressed with that, though they were better than this present government.
One spot on Question Time last October is not a fair deal in my book! Especially when we have the three main leaders on TV and in the papers on a daily basis. Not forgetting a programme shown on ITV this week called "Spotlight on the Leaders" - but only the 3 main leaders, followed by a debate on Thursday, 3 main leaders again! All I'm saying is the public are not able to see what all the othe party leaders have to say including the BNP and that is wrong.
I think if you cared to listen to what Nick has to say you would see he is not only a very intelligent and knowledgeable man, but also he answers questions put to him directly! Unlike the leaders of the three main parties who are totally frustrating to listen to, they never ever answer a question directly, they skirt around, waffle and end up saying something way off topic - they cannot talk straight facts.
I would appreciate you dropping the sarcastic tone to your comment as everyone is entitled to vote for who they wish. I am happy with my choice and I am sure you are happy with yours, so lets just leave it at that.”

“Lincoln Lady, my dear, take a seat...
1. "...the BNP has always been portrayed in a poor light..."
The BNP has always been 'seen' in a bad light, not portrayed. Noone could have invented Nick Griffin. The words that escape his mouth on a daily basis invite logical and humane people to SEE the BNP in a bad light.
2. "...about time the BNP was given a fair deal!"
Nick Griffin had a starlit spot on Question Time at the end of 2009. Can't say fairer than that.
3. " would have thought it better for the Labour and Conservative parties to get on with what they are supposed to be doing like running our country properly."
Just so you know, the Conservatives do not run the country, they are the OPPOSITION. Just need to make that clear.
4. "...instead of taking cheap thrusts at the BNP..."
I doubt even Nick Griffen's wife enjoys taking cheap thrusts at him...
5. " visited this site and was so impressed, I have decided without a doubt to vote BNP rather than Conservative..."
Well bravo for you. Hoorah. No more immigrants in your back yard.
6. "BNP supporters are very caring, decent, intelligent, hardworking people who care for their country and I'm afraid no thugs in sight!"
I take it you have meant Andrew Brons then? He previously led the National Front. Nice chappy. All knitted pullovers and flat caps. Oh and thuggery. (Just leaving with the one example of nastiness from your carefully chosen party - not sure you could handle the truth). Enjoy your rose-tinted right-wingism while it lasts.
Ta ta!”

“Well I for one think it is absolutely brilliant we have a full slate of BNP candidates in Lincolnshire!
Unfortunately, the BNP has always been portrayed in a poor light, by that I mean the other parties especially Labour and Conservative who have maintained a constant attack on the BNP, who rightly has a place in politics just as they do and it's about time the BNP was given a fair deal! I would have thought it better for the Labour and Conservative parties to get on with what they are supposed to be doing like running our country properly instead of taking cheap thrusts at the BNP any chance they get ...somehow it makes these "main parties" look rather inadequate.
I think many people should visit the BNP website and take a look for themselves rather than believe the rot they are fed through the media about the party, I visited this site and was so impressed, I have decided without a doubt to vote BNP rather than Conservative. I would also like to say BNP supporters are very caring, decent, intelligent, hardworking people who care for their country and I'm afraid no thugs in sight!”

“Well this country's biggest export at the moment is the export of people out of jobs onto the dole. BNP, Conservative, Labour, Liberal, we might as well have a 'We'll make absolutely no difference' party because that is what we are going to get in May. Until this country gets off its backside and finds a decent management it is going to continue with more of the same.”

“Most pressing for me is the issues on licensing. I like a pint of Foster's (I know, I know) and although it is an Australian drink originally it is barely drunk there and brewed under licence over here. This is made by British workers in Britain but is essentially Australian, where do they stand on this?
Also on the point of Japanese products, do we throw all those car producing companies out of Britain thus putting untold numbers of British workers out of work? What about German company Siemen¿s and operations in Lincoln?
I mean all this over lapping; it is like we live in a totally different world compared to 50 years ago when Churchill was romping about waiting to vote BNP.”
