Wife taken to intensive care after husband reverses his car into her

AN ELDERLY woman is in intensive care after her husband reversed his car into her, police said.

A 73-year-old man from Woodhall Spa was reversing his blue Vauxhall Meriva in the Market Place in Horncastle when he collided with his 73-year-old wife and a Volvo S40 saloon.

She was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with what appeared to be minor head injuries.

But police say she took a turn for the worse and was placed in intensive care.

No-one else was injured.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Lincoln Police collision witness hotline on 01522 558855 quoting incident 106 of September 6.
