An unsigned band from Lincoln have made it through to the final 20 in a national competition to bid for this year's Christmas number one.

Indie-pop five piece The Lounge Crusade are through to the final round of Band Crusade, a project trying to shine a light on up-and-coming artists by getting them in the charts.

Music fans are asked to vote for one of the 20 acts in the final.

The winner will have their chosen single professionally recorded and released in time to join the race for the prestigious number one Christmas single.

The Lounge Crusade are now calling on Lincoln's music lovers to back them in the campaign – and even took to the pitch on Saturday during Lincoln City's match with Luton Town to garner more support.

Anyone who has voted in the campaign before is now eligible to vote again.
