BOSTON Stump is teaming up with one of the stars of hit BBC show Bargain Hunt for a valuation day and antiques auction in aid of the church's restoration appeal.

Antiques and collectibles expert Colin Young and his firm Golding Young will be holding the valuation day at the Stump on April 14 from 10am to 4pm.

There will then be a viewing day at Blenkin Memorial Hall on May 19, between 10am and 4pm, before the auction itself at the church the following day starting at 10am.

Vicar of Boston the Rev Canon Robin Whitehead said: "The restoration appeal is always looking at new ways to raise money and we are looking forward to working with Colin's firm to organise a successful valuation day and auction.

"We hope the people of Boston will search their houses and bring their valuables to the church, get them valued and help the restoration of our magnificent church."
