Baroness Thatcher's ashes laid to rest
Baroness Thatcher's ashes have been laid to rest.
The Grantham-born politician's family and close friends gathered for a service in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, in London, yesterday.
A solid oak casket containing her ashes was placed next to those of her husband Sir Denis.
The simple inscription on the headstone reads: "Margaret Thatcher 1925 - 2013."

During the later years of her life, Lady Thatcher built up a strong relationship with the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
Together with her husband, the Conservative used to visit its retirement home for British soldiers.
The longest-serving prime minister of the 20th Century, Baroness Thatcher died on Monday, April 8, aged 87.
