Big Match Live: Tributes to Keith Alexander, the World Cup and Lincoln City v Hereford United
On what is sure to be an emotional evening at Sincil Bank, sportsecho.co.uk will be following events on our Big Match Live service.
World Cup winner Martin Peters will be on hand to parade the trophy at the ground, but the real focus will be on the tributes Lincoln City and their fans will pay to former manager Keith Alexander.
-

Former Lincoln City manager Keith Alexander.
Tonight is the first Imps home game since the popular 53-year-old died on March 3, as Chris Sutton's team take on Hereford United in League Two.
Mark Whiley will be in the Big Match Live chair to take you through events both on and off the pitch.
Log on from around 7.15pm. You can ask Mark questions before and during the game.

“Fatastic support for Keith. I was there to pay tribute to him. The a complete joke the world cup was. Absolute waste of time. When I heard it was coming I thought so what and it lived up to that. I hope all those who had pictues taken with it enjoy looking at them whilst the majority of supporters think what a waste of time the world cup was. Fatastic though to pay respects to KA”

“Great night friday and a fitting tribute to the big man.But i also thought that 6,012 was not the true attendence .Because like the previous comment i could not see them getting another 4,000 in the remaining seats. Nearer 7,500 i would have thought. Up the imps”

“Big Keith would have been so proud of tonight 6,012 supporters standing up and giving the man a well deserved minute applause. And many supporters incuding my self wearing yellow football socks.
It was certainly an emotional evening at Sincil Bank I even had tears in my eyes, especially during the minutes applause and seeing the clips of Keith and the play-offsw on the big screen. Oh and not to forget the World cup and the brillent 3 - 1 win for the IMP'S but the night was about Keith Alexander the great and Legend god bless you Keith. R.I.P”

“Imprest, I think you'll find a 3-0 win would be enough to take us above Hereford, However I'm sure we'd be very happy to take just a 1-0 win. Really sad to be away and missing tonight's tribute to Keith - however let's hope the bumper crowd and the result are what all Imps would wish for on this emotional occasion.”
