Billy Jackson is beaten in first round of World Bowls Championship by Jason Greenslade
Lincoln's Billy Jackson saw his singles hopes come to an abrupt halt at the Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines World Indoor Bowls Championship, as he bowed out at the first-round stage to Welshman Jason Greenslade at Potters Leisure Resort, Hopton-on-Sea.
The 2009 world champion got off to a great start against last year's runner-up, scorching to a 9-4 win in the first set as he played bowls reminiscent of his famous victory four years ago.

But the wheels completely fell off after that, with Jackson picking up just a solitary shot in the next set, losing it 10-1, and then succumbing 2-0 in the three-end tie-break, with 14th seed Greenslade setting up a second-round meeting with tournament favourite Paul Foster.
"I was very disappointed and could not find the big bowl when I needed it," admitted Jackson, who was a wildcard for the event in which he suffered his third successive first-round defeat.

"Although I won the first set, Jason picked up a notch in the second, but I did not manage to step up and in the tie-break it was Jason that found the big bowl at the right time."

“Just a quickie, can i ask where you got these quotes from as i have not been interviewed by anyone regarding this match from any of the media, neither at the event nor via phone nor email.
Please do not quote me on things i have not said.
