The plaque will later be moved to a permanent home on the wall of ASK restaurant in High Street – the site of the apothecary shop owned by Mr Clark where a young Newton lodged between 1655 and 1660.
The ceremony, being staged as part of the Gravity Fields festival celebrating the life and work of Newton, will be performed by Professor Martin Rees.
