Bogus furniture sales people in Grantham area police warning
Police are warning the public about bogus furniture sales people in the Grantham area.
The warning comes after a recent incident in which a man posing as a Dreams furniture company representative pressured an elderly resident into purchasing what she thought was a top of the range memory foam mattress.
The bogus trader drove the pensioner to a cash machine and took £150 as a down payment, before returning at a later date and asking for a further £200 for the mattress that turned out to be a cheap substitute.
The resident refused to pay.
