Boston College's Beach Ball Competition winner chosen

AFTER a Summer of Beach Ball fun and lots of creative entries the winner of Boston College's Beach Ball Competition has been chosen.

The three judges – reporter Claire Farrow from The Boston Target, Debby King at The Departure Lounge and Amanda Mosek, Principal of Boston College had the arduous task of carefully reviewing each entry and picking just one winner from all the amazing entries.

The Beach Balls have been travelling all over the world, meeting celebrities, visiting England's most famous sights and having fun in the sun, so picking a winner from the huge variety of entries was not an easy task.

However, a winner has indeed been chosen. The winner's entry was not only a beautiful photograph that captured the sun setting from the skyline above, but also a challenging location and an impressive feat after the Boston College Beach Ball was taken to the top of Mount Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in the space of 24 hours.

And so the winner is Leyton Hubbert.

Leyton along with Darren Hubbert, Luke Smith and Amanda Smith took the Boston College Beach Ball to the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales and took a prize winning photo of their Beach Ball at each one.

A truly amazing experience, and a fitting entry for the Experience College campaign.

Although there could only be one winner, Chloe and Simon Moon were a close second with their photo of Chloe at the Olympic Stadium - another brilliant experience and a summer that the whole country will remember for years to come.

Finally, third runner up was Laura and Jon Molson with their Chuckle Brothers entry.

The Boston College Beach Ball met the famous Celebrities at the Skegness Embassy Theatre and sources tell us it was a very funny experience and a very fitting entry celebrating our favourite local sea-side destination.
