Ian Farmer, partnerships and sustainability manager for Boston Borough Council, one of the event's main organisers, said: "This year's Healthy Living Tent at Showcase will be double the size of last year's.

"Inside, 14 exhibitors will cover everything from bee-keeping, gardening and recycling to cooking demonstrations, health advice and fitness.

"To mark a very successful Olympics for Team GB we will also be providing rowing machines and static cycles for young people to compete against each other.

"Why not bring along your family members to see if they could be the next Bradley Wiggins, Victoria Pendleton or Katherine Grainger?

"And for those with a thirst there will be the opportunity to produce delicious healthy smoothies using pure pedal power."

In addition to the Healthy Living Tent the event will feature live bands, dance demonstrations, and around 100 local organisations all showcasing their services.

Add in a Spider Mountain climbing wall, train rides around the park and falconry displays and you have a day out not to be missed.

The Boston Community Showcase is staged each year in conjunction with Boston Borough Council, Boston Mayflower, Lincolnshire CVS and HMP North Sea Camp – as well as many other community volunteers.
