Boston United 3 Guiseley 0: Match report
A sublime second half display saw Boston United keep up their flying start to the season at the expense of old Skrill North foes Guiseley.
After a goal-less first half, which saw Scott Garner forced off after just 10 minutes with a head injury, the Pilgrims took the game by the scruff of the neck after the break.
Carl Piergianni set the ball rolling when he headed home an Ian Ross free-kick on the hour mark. Six minutes later, the Pilgrims doubled their advantage and again Ross provided the assist as his deep cross was headed home by Newsham.
Newsham added number three after great work from strike partner Ricky Miller, who broke into the box before being denied by keeper Steve Drench. However, the rebound dropped to Newsham, who forced home his sixth goal of the season.

"Guiseley will be a really strong side this season. They were second last season and I expect them to be around the play-offs again. So to get three points, a clean sheet and a performance like that is very pleasing," said United boss Dennis Greene.
