Pilgrims boss Graham Drury has recruited Mayo as cover for regular left-back and club captain Gareth Jelleyman, who is being troubled by an Achilles problem.

Former Lincoln City defender Paul Mayo (pictured in action for Corby Town) has signed for Boston United.
Mayo, who is a policeman, will not be available for all Boston matches, but is still seen as an important addition by Drury, who managed the Lincoln-born player at Corby Town.
Mayo spent the majority of his career with the Imps, where he enjoyed two spells either side of a stint with Championship side Watford.

“Remember him making one of his first appearances for Lincoln at the Vetch and looking really good. He always remained a Lincoln lad and remember meeting him in Cardiff before a playoff when he had left the club.
Hope he does well for Boston, shame that it never really worked out for him at a higher level, lovely bloke.”
