CHRISTMAS WISH: Boston firemen are appealing to readers for gifts to take to the children's ward at Pilgrim Hospital by Fireman Sam.
But to enable them to do so they need to gather gifts for the young ones and are hoping the public can assist them with this.
And to make it extra special one of the crew will dress up as Fireman Sam to deliver the presents.

Nicky Hull, 34, said: "We really wanted to do something that will put a smile on the faces of the children who will unfortunately have to spend their Christmas in hospital.
"The community are always helping us out on our firefighter open days and supporting the firefighters' charity and that is why we wanted to give something back.
"We are appealing for any small gifts, new and in packaging for new born babies and children up to the age of 16."
The crew are also hoping to raise £2,000 for a Cam-Bed for the ward.
Junior sister at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Stella Sutton said: "I and all the staff would like to thank Boston Fire Station for helping to raise this money for the children's Ward at Pilgrim Hospital enabling us to buy a cam-bed which helps babies with jaundice and babies needing photo therapy. We are incredibly grateful."
The firefighters will be at the Christmas light switch on in the town on November 30 with a bucket collection.
So far they have gained the support of Asda, Spirit of Endeavour and Taylored Security Services.
Anyone who would like to donate a small gift for the children or make a donation for the new piece of equipment can do so by taking it along to Boston Fire Station or Spirit of Endeavour.
