RIGGING up an electricity meter to avoid payment landed Callum Baggaley in court.

Police discovered the bypass equipment during a search at the 22-year-old's girlfriend's house in Windsor Bank, Boston, on August 30.

When questioned Baggaley revealed it was him who had carried out the illegal work.

Baggaley, who is currently serving a two year sentence at Stoken Prison in Rutland which was imposed on September 30, admitted a charge of abstracting electricity without authority.

Boston Magistrates gave him a three-month conditional discharge.
