Boston market cancelled due to snow and ice
TOMORROW'S market in Boston has been cancelled.
Boston Borough Council confirmed that due to dangerous conditions underfoot caused by snow and ice in the town's Market Place, and forecasts of worsening weather, the decision has been made to cancel Saturday's stall market.
Some traders had already indicated they would not attend and an inspection on Friday afternoon led to the decision being made purely on the grounds of safety considerations for council staff who erect and take down the stalls, traders and customers.
Wednesday's market is still scheduled to take place as normal, subject to weather conditions.
