Fire at Boston's Pilgrim leads to cancelled appointments
A fire at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital has led to the cancellation of appointments.
The fire broke out this morning in a duct adjacent to the X-ray Department resulting in access to imaging equipment being unavailable. The cause of the fire is not known at this point.
The incident is under control and there is no immediate danger to patients, staff or visitors.
A spokesman for the trust said: "We have taken the decision to cancel any planned appointments at Pilgrim Hospital, with the exception of maternity, gynaecology and child appointments which will go ahead as normal.
