Boston tennis star Joe Woolley crowned under 16 champion at national winter finals
BOSTON tennis star Joe Woolley has been crowned champion at the 16&U Aegon Winter National Tour Finals.
The 15-year-old beat Sacha Modica from Carshalton 7-5 7-5 in a competitive final to cap an excellent week for the youngster at the National Tennis Centre in London.

Following an impressive run of form throughout the Aegon Winter National Tour over the last few months, Joe was invited to compete in the prestigious Aegon Winter National Tour Finals by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
The invitation-only tournament is the pinnacle of the British winter tennis season and showcases the talent of some of the best young players in the country.

Joe, who trains at Nottingham Tennis Academy, was one of only 16 players to be invited, having earned his place by accumulating enough ranking points from LTA tournaments throughout the winter.
"It feels good to have won. It was a hard fought battle and I had to be mentally very tough," said Joe.
