'Boycie' looking forward to Lincoln return at the revamped Ritz
One of the stars of iconic TV comedy Only Fools and Horses has spoken today of his unexpected return to Lincoln after 20 years.
Veteran actor John Challis - who played Boycie in the classic series which starred David Jason as Del Boy - answered a
Twitter appeal from fans to bring his one-man show to the Ritz Cinema.
And now he is looking foward to performing a one-off show for the Lincoln High Street building's restoration appeal.

Only Fools And Boycie is billed as "an intimate evening of stories and anecdotes from John Challis's 50-year showbusiness career."
The show is taking place from 6.30pm next Thursday, October 24, at the iconic old cinema which is being restored by a team of volunteers.
Andy Richardson, Mr Challis' agent, said: "He's always on Twitter and has 30,000 followers.
"So when he was contacted by lots of people from Lincoln I got in touch with Pete Genders at the Ritz and organised the show.
"John is really looking forward to it, especially as it's for a very good cause."
The actor confirmed that he was only too pleased to help as he is no stranger to the city.
"It's what you call a sporadic tour and I've already done a few shows in cinemas which are being restored.
"So when I was asked on Twitter why I wasn't coming to Lincoln we organised it.
"Back in 1993 I stayed in Lincoln when we brought the Maria Martin musical to the Theatre Royal on tour.
"I stayed in an apartment near the cathedral and remember the trek up and down Steep Hill for rehearsals.
"But my abiding memory of Lincoln was of the cathedral bells keeping me awake at night."
The actor will be signing copies of no less than three books after his show.
He will meet local fans and both volumes of autobiography - Being Boycie, and Boycie and Beyond will be available.
John has also just published his first novel, Reggie: A Stag At Bay, which is a compilation of experiences gleaned since he moved to rural Hertfordshire from London 15 years ago.
