Brackley Town v Boston United: FA Cup team news
Marc Newsham and Scott Garner have returned to Boston United’s starting line-up for today’s FA Cup clash at Brackley Town, but skipper Ian Ross is only fit enough for a place on the bench.
Striker Newsham (knee) and centre-back Garner (head) both missed last weekend’s 1-0 victory over Barrow, but are fit enough for the third qualifying round clash at St James Park.
However, midfielder Ross is on the bench after suffering a bruised foot in the win over Barrow. His place has been taken by recent signing Jake Hall.
“Ian is going to go on the bench today. He’s got a bruise on the top of his foot which isn’t allowing him to strike the ball properly. It’s not restricting his movement around the pitch, just his striking of the ball,” explained manager Dennis Greene.
