“Oh I forgot to add in my previous post, my £38.50 return is FIRST CLASS, if I wanted to travel standard then it would have only cost me £25, enjoy the traffic jams car lovers :-)”

“So lets get this right Casey Jones, You drive to Stanmore in North West London then pack on a crowded tube train to get to London. (which costs about £7 return if I recall) You risk getting stuck in heavy traffic on the way to Stanmore, I doubt you can do that combination in anywhere near 3 hours! Well if you think that is a good journey then I am glad you are happy.

I am going down to London in mid Jan. I already have my return ticket. Leave Lincoln at 0653 arrive at London at 08:48 (under 2 hours with 1 change). It has cost me £38.50 RETURN. I can read the paper on the train, have something to eat and relax not needing to worry about traffic, fog, rail or anything else. Think I would rather pay a couple of £ extra for that luxary. Could have used the direct service, but I don't mind changing at Newark, if I did then I would just drive to Newark instead, much less hardship.”

“Have any of you thought that this is all a ploy! A poor service is being provided to passify people in the area. When the service does not get used, it will once again be removed as it will be "no longer economically viable". I can hear it being said now!!!!!”

“In answer to S Morrissey, when I drive down to London I park at Stanmore Tube Station - £1 all day parking. No congestion charge, no expensive parking meters, no problem. And I don't need to find the best part of £200 for me and my family to get down there.”

I don't like them new finagled train things anyway, no steering wheel and the human body was never designed to go that fast, yes I will be OK then.”
