Brewer selects county brand for show
A BREWER has become the 100th member of a group determined to spread the word about Lincolnshire's top quality food and drink.
Batemans Brewery, based in Wainfleet, which has been making beer since 1874, is the latest to join Select Lincolnshire.
The brand now appears on everything from home-produced sausages to plum bread and eggs.
Batemans is also joining Select Lincolnshire at the prestigious Restaurant Show, which takes place at Earls Court in London from Monday until Wednesday.
The event attracts about 12,000 people from the catering and restaurant trade and it is hoped they will be tempted to buy and cook more county foods.
Select project leader Jill McCarthy said: "We are excited to be working with the brewery. It embodies what the brand is about, high quality produce made by people passionate about the area."
