Bridges work to cause 'minimum disruption'
Two bridges in Lincoln city centre are to be repaired at a cost of £50,000.
Joints are to be replaced on the structures on which Wigford Way and Brayford Way run.

Brayford Way, which goes over University Bridge, and Wigford Way are to be closed for two weeks. Pictured is a traffic sign on Wigford Way.
Lane closures will be in place in Wigford Way and there will be no right turn on to Brayford Wharf East between 7pm and 7am next Tuesday and Thursday and then from the following Monday to Thursday.
Work on the Carholme Link Rail Bridge is scheduled for next Wednesday and Friday and the following Friday and Saturday.
This means there will be a road closures in Brayford Way on the work nights and the diversion will be via Ropewalk, Brayford Wharf East, Wigford Way, Newland and Carholme Road.
Access to Campus Way will remain but from the north side only during the Lincolnshire County Council project.
Resurfacing work will be done next Tuesday and then Brayford Way the following night.
Dave Walton, who is responsible for the 3,500 road and footbridges and culverts in the county, explained that the asphalted plugs which form the joint on each bridge are being replaced.
"It's replacing like with like," Mr Walton said.
"The joints go across the entire width of the carriageway and allow for the contraction and expansion of the bridge.
"The life of the joints is about 15 years and like so many things they are subject to wear and tear.
"Every bridge in the county is routinely inspected every two years and work done as necessary."
All restrictions will be removed outside of the working hours.

“Will this work mean that I no longer have to slow to a crawl when I take my trailer over the Brayford Way bridge because of the change in road level half way across that has the trailer jumping in the air?”
