THE operator of a burger van in Ingoldmells admitted trading without a licence when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates Court.

Atif Manzoor Suduzai, 33, whose home address is in Leeds but who lives at Roman Bank, Skegness during the season, owned and ran a burger van that traded in Sea Lane in Ingoldmells providing hot food between 11pm and 5am.

Police officers made a test purchase from his van at 1.45am on June 23 and were served, even though Suduzai did not have a licence to trade at night. He told the police officers he did not realise he needed a licence. In court, he repeated his ignorance of the requirement to get a licence and said he had immediately got one.

Magistrates imposed a six month conditional discharge and ordered he pay £85 in costs.
