Burghley Horse Trials winner fails drugs test
The winner of Burghley Horse Trials, Jonathan 'Jock' Paget has been suspended after his horse, Clifton Promise failed a drugs test.
Clifton Promise tested positive for the tranquiliser Reserpine and has been provisionally suspended for two months.
Jonathan Paget, 29, from New Zealand has been banned pending the outcome of a second sample, as the person responsible for the horse.
Both horse and rider await the results of a B sample test carried out by the Equestrian Federation Tribunal.
