Burglar tried to hide from police in Lincolnshire woodland
A house burglar who was spotted as he fled from the scene of a raid has been jailed for three years at Lincoln Crown Court.
Stuart Bocock was one of two men seen by a passer-by moments after the victim arrived home to find his property had been burgled.

Jonathon Dee, prosecuting, said that after discovering the raid the victim heard the sound of footsteps on his neighbour's gravel path.
"He went to investigate and a dog walker told him how he had seen two men leaving.

"Police arrived and both men tried to conceal themselves in woodland. This defendant was arrested nearby."
A lap-top, a safe, an iPad, an iPod nano and other items were stolen from the house in High Street, Washingborough.
When Bocock was questioned by police, he denied any knowledge of the burglary claiming to have travelled to the village to buy drugs.
Mr Dee said: "He told the officers that he saw the police and ran out of habit."
Bocock, 22, of Queen Street, Lincoln, admitted burglary on June 12 this year and breach of a suspended jail sentence imposed just six days earlier for going equipped for burglary.
Gareth Weetman, defending, said the offence was an opportunistic burglary.
He urged that Bocock should be given credit for pleading guilty at the earliest opportunity.

“If he "denied any knowledge of the burglary", how could he have pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity?
Interesting to see the speed of the police response to this property theft in comparison to comments elsewhere on this site about people following alleged sex offenders and drunk drivers but getting no support from officers.”
