Caistor may be bottom of the league but their batsmen made their mark on the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League with a new 10th-wicket record partnership against leaders Bracebridge Heath.

Sahan Wijerathne and Nick Warmoth were the record breakers, beating the previous best set by another Caistor pair Dave Holness and Paul Dimbleby.

Matt Rutherford took his season's total of wickets to 55 as his seven for 21 reduced Bourne from 118 for two to 142 all out.

Lindum had set their hosts a target of 200 at Abbey Lawn.

Bourne then batted themselves into a good position thanks to 47 from Craig Williams but an excellent 11 overs from the Lindum captain saw his side home.

The closest game of the day was at Grimsby where Market Deeping chased down the home side's total of 175 for nine. Deeping skipper David Gillett hit an unbeaten 79 as the visitors claimed victory in the final over of the match with just one wicket still standing.

It was also a close run thing at third-placed Louth where the home side made a meagre 128 but went on to bowl Nettleham out for 117, with Stewart West taking five wickets.

Woodhall Spa's previous good form deserted them when second placed Skegness ended their innings on 223 for nine.

However, on this occasion the Woodhall batsmen failed to deliver, succumbing to the Skegness bowling for just 86. Saeed Bariwala claimed four victims to take his season's wicket total past 40.

An unbeaten 75 from Tom Shorthouse helped Sleaford overtake Messingham's total of 170 for nine at London Road to win by five wickets.

Lindum are now fourth, Market Deeping sixth and Grimsby and Woodhall have slipped back down into the bottom half of the table.
