A woman who is in remission from breast cancer went without wedding anniversary presents to instead raise money for the unit which cared for her.

Gillian Jordan, from Coleby, decided to donate money to the Lincoln Breast Unit after being diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago.

She and husband Keith asked friends and relatives to make donations to the unit instead of having presents for their 40th wedding anniversary this year.

Together they managed to raise £900.
