POLICE found a cannabis factory in a raid on a house following a tip-off through Crimestoppers.

Officers raided the property near Bourne and discovered 30 cannabis plants being grown in the loft.

The plants were recovered and a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possession with intent to supply.

He was taken to Grantham police station for questioning.

Sergeant Sebastian Adjei-Addoh said the cultivation and sale of illegal drugs would not be tolerated.

"Drugs are a blight on our communities, ruining young people's lives," he said.

"We are determined to get to grips with the problems in this area and we would urge the public to help us in that fight."

Anyone with any information on drugs can call police on (01780) 752222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
