Care home manager cleared
A manager has been cleared of neglecting elderly patients at a Lincolnshire care home.
Elaine Noble, 57, of Lagonda Close, Bracebridge Heath, had been accused of neglecting elderly patients at the St Michael's Care Home in Waddington, leaving some lying in their own urine.
But this afternoon a jury returned not guilty verdicts on two of the three charges.
They could not reach a verdict on the third charge, and Judge Robert Brown directed that a not guilty verdict be entered, saying a re-trial would not be in the public interest.
