Cathedral licker calls Lincoln 'fairest of them all'
An English Heritage worker who made national headlines for licking every Cathedral in England has claimed Lincoln Cathedral is the most beautiful he's ever licked.
Lawrence Edmonds, 27, bet his friends he could lick every Anglican cathedral in the UK and after his journey took him to all 42 cathedrals in England and Wales, he found Lincoln to be most impressive.

Now, completing his bet with eight in Scotland and eight in Northern Ireland, the man from York still holds a flame for Lincoln Cathedral.
Lawrence Edmonds said: "Lincoln Cathedral is the fairest of them all, Lincoln has the most beautiful cathedral in England, of that there can be no doubt.

"Up until the moment I stood before its stunning west front I had favoured other beauties, the sumptuous Norwich Cathedral, the jaw-dropping Durham and the frankly rousing Wells but Lincoln made my mind up once and for all.
"All I can really say is to just go there, drive, cycle, hijack a plane, whatever you must to see it for yourself. It will be one the best things you will ever do."
One of Mr Edmonds' favourite features were the carvings of strange beasts on the West Front along with the sound of the bells ringing from the cloister.
He has been traveling across the UK, mainly via trains and busses to complete the challenge which must be finished by December 16.
If he fails, Mr Edmonds will have to streak around York Minster, in his home city.
He claims the challenge has received a lot of support from the church and understands how people may see it as disrespectful but says that hasn't been the message from the support he's had.
