TWO consultation events have been arranged in a bid to find out whether a Christmas Party should continue to be organised for local schoolchildren.

Skegness Town Council has, for many years, funded a party for pupils of the town's infant and primary schools but falling numbers of people attending led to last year's party being cancelled with the money instead being split between the school's parent and friend associations.

On Friday April 30 and Saturday May 1, councillors will be manning a stall in the Hildred's Centre where they will be asking local people if a Christmas Party should be organised or whether they should look at other ideas.

The consultation will also be published in the council's newsletter.
