Charm offensive wins shop's added Sparkle
STUDENTS from a Boston secondary school have seen an innovative product they created for Young Enterprise go on sale at a shop in the town.
Hot on the heels of their success at the county finals of the business competition, Synergy from Boston High School were keen to secure shelf space with a local retailer to broaden the channels of distribution and increase brand awareness of their earphone charms.
And now they have seen their product given its own display space at Sparkledust in Silver Court.
Synergy managing director Ellie Morrissey told the Target: "We wanted local people who voted Synergy as the 2012 Boston Youth Achiever in the recent Pride of Boston Awards to be able to see and buy our products conveniently.
"We contacted Sparkledust which was very keen to stock our product.
"They initially placed an order of 75 units, but have expanded their range of designs on offer once Olympic-style charms were sourced.
"We are delighted to be working with Sparkledust – the shop complements the product extremely well.
"Everyone at Sparkledust has been very helpful, and we thank them, especially, for advertising the product on Facebook as seeing all the positive comments people have been leaving has really encouraged us.
"We are all now looking forward to the next stage in our Young Enterprise competition as we feel we are well supported in our local community. "
A Sparkledust spokesman said: "Working with Synergy is an absolute pleasure.
"From the moment they approached us to take their product in our shop we were very impressed with their professionalism, not only in the way they conduct themselves, but also with their approach to business.
"They have a great product which has generated a lot of interest, both in our shop and on our website – www.sparkledustgifts.co.uk – and this, coupled with their business acumen, should really help them win the competition.
"We wish the team all the very best as they have worked so hard to achieve this."
