Chef counts cost of drink-driving
A MOTORIST from Kirton was almost twice over the legal drink driving limit when his car went into a ditch.
Andrew Turney-Johnson, 23, was driving a Ford Focus along the road he lives on, Nidds Lane, Kirton on January 4 when his car left the road.
He was on his way home from work at the Ship Inn, Fosdyke, where he works as a chef.
Police were called to a single RTC at about 11.17pm. The car was pulled out of the dyke and Turney-Johnson was breathalysed. His reading was 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Turney-Johnson pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while over the limit at Boston Magistrates Court, was banned for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £29 victim surcharge.
