The Pod is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and has reached over 3,000 children in the last two years but this is considered a major set-back.

Local villages will suffer as the bus will not be on the road in the next few weeks, meaning it won't be visiting Wilsford, Metheringham, Cranwell or Bassingham.

Leisure Contract Manager, Mike Lock said; “This is a huge setback for The Pod.

"It had a planned full programme of events around the district, now of which three weeks will be cancelled due to the bus being repaired.

"A number of children will miss out and be affected by this. It is very disappointing in deed.”

It is hoped that the The Pod will be back on the road within a month after it returns to the Body Builders where the play bus conversion was undertaken.

All equipment in the play bus was security marked by The Pod team, which may help to trace its location.

North Kesteven District Council, Leisure Connection and the police are now looking for any clues as to what may have happened. If you have any information, please contact Lincolnshire police as soon as possible.

“I never cease to be amazed that people such as Mr Lock still say such things as "very disappointing in deed". He is supposed to be a Leisure Contract Manager!

When AlexColman asked if he actually meant "indeed", surely Mr Lock would have paused, even just for a second?”

“Well the law won't do much so we can only hope that if there is a god he or she does the right thing and gives them a good old smoting.”
