A chip shop business is celebrating its 25th anniversary by raising £25,000 for good causes.

The Elite Fish and Chip Company is asking people to nominate five charities or organisations they think deserve a slice of the cash.

The owners of the firm, the Tweedale family, who have takeaways in Lincoln's Tritton Road, Ruskington and Sleaford, say they want to give something back to the community.

A spokesman said: "It would be nice to help a number of Lincolnshire charities or causes in a way that shows just how the Elite, as a family-run business, care about the part they play in the communities surrounding the three takeaway and restaurant sites of Lincoln."
