Colin Larkin backs Adam Boyd to shine at Lincoln City
Colin Larkin has backed Adam Boyd to be a hit with Lincoln City, but has warned his former Hartlepool team-mate that he faces a fight to break into the side.
Boyd penned a short-term deal with the Imps today following a successful trial, which came about after Larkin recommended him to boss David Holdsworth.

Adam Boyd has joined the Imps on a short-term deal.
The 30-year-old has returned to the full-time game following a brief spell with Northern League outfit Celtic Nation.
Larkin says Boyd is desperate to grasp his chance with the Imps and believes he is capable of returning to the form which made one of the most feared strikers in the lower leagues with Hartlepool.

"Adam's enjoying his time here and he's done well in the training. I feel, certainly at this level, he'll score goals," said Larkin.
"He went down the part-time route and wasn't enjoying it.
"Training two nights a week and playing on a Saturday wasn't enough for him.
"He wants to be in training every day. He definitely sees it as a second chance.
"It was only the season before last, when he was with Hartlepool, that they went ten games unbeaten and he was scoring regularly.
"There's no reason why he can't do it again."
But like Larkin, Boyd is facing a battle to break into Holdsworth's in-form side, with Jamie Taylor and Vadaine Oliver in top form.
"It's just about getting in the team and at this moment in time it's difficult," added Larkin.
"Jamie is scoring, Vadaine is coming off the bench and scoring and Alan Power is scoring.
"It's tough and he's not going to walk straight into the team.
"There should be competition for places throughout the team so nobody is getting complacent and feeling that their position is safe."
